Youngs Veterinary Partnership

VET2PET FREE home veterinary service

Beat the weather - let us come to you

 - only with Youngs Veterinary Partnership. We know that it can be difficult at times to bring your pet to the surgery, especially for our elderly clients and those with young families. Maybe you just have more pets than hands, or simply need a kind face to tend to your pets at the end of their days, in familiar surroundings. Why not take the stress out of visiting the vet and let us come to you? The visit won't cost you an extra penny, all you will pay is the normal fee* for your consultation and any necessary medication (see below for full terms).

Youngs Veterinary Partnership is the only practice locally which routinely offers home visits for pets.

House calls are not suitable for real emergencies and we also would encourage you to arrange transport of a sick animal to our hospital where we have the very best facilities to bring them back to health as quickly as possible. If you are interested in booking a Vet2Pet home visit or would just like further details on our guidelines, please feel free to discuss with any of our staff who will be more than happy to help and advise you. For safety reasons, we do not offer the home visitng service, out-of-hours.

Vet2Pet house visits are a relaxed and easy way for you to have your pet's treatment -  no fuss, no parking, no traffic, just let us come to you.

Terms - If you live in the appropriate areas: PE1, PE2, PE3, PE4, PE5, some of PE6, PE7, PE8 & PE9  our specially equipped vehicles can come to you Monday to Friday and if the appointment is booked at least 24 hours in advance, then there is no additional fee (subject to a minimum charge) for the vet to visit you at home.*

*Vet2Pet visits incur the normal (non-discounted) consultation fee. Currently £29.60  including vat.

Boosters and primary vaccinations can only be administered by a veterinary surgeon and are charged as per our normal price list. (Second vaccinations given at home would not be able to be carried out by a nurse and would incur the minimum veterinary visit charge)

Nurse2pet visits are also available but only very local to the hospital. For nurse consultations the full (long) nurse consultation fee is charged. Currently £15.00 including vat.

The second part of one of our vaccination courses can be administered by a nurse or a veterinary surgeon. The fee for this is included in vaccination fee only if it is carried out at the surgery. If a visit is required then the standard veterinary consutation fee will be charged.

Healthy Pet Club members incur no extra charge for the booster visit by the veterinary surgeon. Nurses can also do the 6 month visit at no extra charge but cannot administer the Program injection. They can disense the Program suspension or Program Plus. If Program injection is required at home a veterinary surgeon would need to visit and a minimum charge of £29.60 would be made. Extra visits for worming etc can be made but would be subject to the minimum nurse charge of £15+vat.
